Include the size of the space where the mural is to be painted or installed.  I paint indoor murals on canvas in my studio(any size) as one piece or multiple panels. I then ship or deliver personally the murals to be installed onsite.

Outdoor murals are painted onsite by myself and a small crew of assistant artists. Hotel, travel and other expences are included in the estimated cost of the mural design and production.

Also very important is the budget amount you have to work with. Residential murals can start in the low thousands and go up to an average of  $15,000.00. Some large and complex projects can be more.  Murals take time, labor, knowledge and talent to complete succesfully. The high quality of mural art that Knotts Mural Studio produces is well worth the cost.

Indoor commercial and public murals  can range in cost from $15,000.00 to $50,000.00. Larger and more complex designs can cost more. There are many expenses that are included in a bid price; man lift equipment rental, onsite work related expenses such as hotel and per diem, surface preparation for oudoor murals with Keim paint system and other costs.

Our average cost per square foot/Turn Key cost is $ 50.00 per square foot.

Large, outdoor ,public murals can be in the $30,000.00 to $80,000.00 range. This type of mural project is often funded by grants, city art funds or gifts for arts programs in construction of large commercial or public facilities.
