Born in 1962 in a small Texas town, I drew and painted from an early age. Later I attended Sam Houston State University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree in 1987. During college and up to present I have been designing and painting murals as well as my own personal artwork.
In rescent years I have worked with renouned muralist Richard Hass of New York on an architectural illusion project for the City of Huntsville, Texas. I have also worked for Tom Melvin Studios of Chicago Ill. on a set of murals for Rivertown Shopping Mall in Grandville, Michigan. a General Growth Corporation project. I have also worked in the scenery department of The Alley Theater in Houston Texas.
I have taken the experience of these projects and applied this knowledge to my own projects over the years. There are relatively few mural companys that are experienced in large scale public/civic and commercial projects in the United States. Knotts Mural Studios is among them. I have worked with county commissioners, architects, city arts commissions and commercial builders as well as residential builders and home owners to create some of the most beutiful, high quality murals you have ever seen.
